Happy Thursday, WRMS Families!!!

 

I hope you all had a great week last week and have had a good one this week as well.  It was pretty quiet around here on Monday.  I'm pretty sure most people of all ages were still half asleep until about 10:00am or so.  It was "creepy quiet" as kids came in.  Everyone definitely woke up quickly though - especially with the cooler air!  I do believe the break was good for everyone.  I have seen many, many moments that consisted of the expression of pure joy as friends saw each other for the first time in a week or more.  It's also refreshing to watch our teachers and kids genuinely enjoy getting to see each other again.  Yes, this year is weird, and there's plenty that could be better right now.  However, in my opinion, our school and community are working together as a team to make the best we possibly can of the madness.  Thank you!

 

 

Now for the information items:

• Thank you to our Booster Club for cool new graphics in the cafeteria!  If a picture would do it justice, I would attach one.  I'll see if I can get someone to take a better pic than I have so far so that I can share.  :-)
• Congrats to our 7th grade class!  The 7th GRADE was the GRADE WINNER of the EEF Race For Participation with 43% of all parents donating.  WooHoo!  And kudos for the 8th Grade at 40% and 6th Grade at 36% for their strong support as well.  We really are stronger together!   Awesome trophy coming soon!
• Early Release (12/10) - Next Thursday (12/10), your Wildcats will be finished with school at 1:00!  Lunch will be a little different than usual.  Rather than have lunch periods throughout the morning (with one being more like brunch), students will have the opportunity to "grab and go" in the cafeteria on their way out at 1:00.
• 3rd 9-weeks Selection - As you probably know, the window to choose your student's method of instruction for the 3rd 9-weeks is open now!  So far we still have 40% of our families that need to respond, so please do log into skyward and make your selection!
• Picture Make-up Day!  Make-up day will be December 15th!  More details will be sent to all families via email soon!
• Fridays!!!  I know it's short notice, but tell your Wildcat to wear some college gear tomorrow!!!  CLICK HERE for the next two Fridays!

¡Feliz jueves, familias de WRMS!

 

Espero que todos hayan tenido una gran semana la semana pasada y que la hayan tenido también esta semana. El lunes estaba bastante tranquilo por aquí. Estoy bastante seguro de que la mayoría de las personas de todas las edades todavía estaban medio dormidas hasta las 10:00 a.m. más o menos. Fue un "silencio espeluznante" cuando entraron los niños. Sin embargo, todos definitivamente se despertaron rápidamente, ¡especialmente con el aire más fresco! Creo que el descanso fue bueno para todos. He visto muchos, muchos momentos que consistieron en la expresión de pura alegría cuando los amigos se vieron por primera vez en una semana o más. También es reconfortante ver a nuestros profesores y niños disfrutar genuinamente de volver a verse. Sí, este año es extraño y hay muchas cosas que podrían mejorar en este momento. Sin embargo, en mi opinión, nuestra escuela y la comunidad están trabajando juntas como un equipo para aprovechar la locura lo mejor que podamos. ¡Gracias!

 

Ahora para los elementos de información:

• ¡Gracias a nuestro Booster Club por los nuevos gráficos geniales en la cafetería! Si una foto le hiciera justicia, adjuntaría una. Veré si puedo conseguir que alguien tome una foto mejor que la que he hecho hasta ahora para poder compartirla. :-)
• ¡Felicidades a nuestra clase de séptimo grado! El 7º GRADO fue el GANADOR DE GRADO de la Carrera por la Participación de EEF con el 43% de todos los padres que donaron. ¡WooHoo! Y felicitaciones para el octavo grado con un 40% y el sexto grado con un 36% también por su fuerte apoyo. ¡Realmente somos más fuertes juntos! ¡Un trofeo impresionante próximamente!
• Salida temprana (12/10) - ¡El próximo jueves (12/10), sus Wildcats terminarán con la escuela a la 1:00! El almuerzo será un poco diferente de lo habitual. En lugar de tener períodos de almuerzo a lo largo de la mañana (siendo uno más parecido a un brunch), los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de "agarrar y salir" en la cafetería al salir a la 1:00.
• Selección del tercer período de nueve semanas: como probablemente sepa, ¡la ventana para elegir el método de instrucción de su estudiante para el tercer período de nueve semanas está abierta ahora! Hasta ahora, todavía tenemos el 40% de nuestras familias que necesitan responder, ¡así que inicie sesión en Skyward y haga su selección!
• ¡Día de maquillaje de fotos! ¡El día de recuperación será el 15 de diciembre! Pronto se enviarán más detalles a todas las familias por correo electrónico.
• Viernes !!! Sé que es poco tiempo de aviso, ¡pero dile a tu gato montés que se ponga algo de ropa para la universidad mañana! ¡HAGA CLIC AQUÍ para los próximos dos viernes!

EEF Race for Participation:

As we wrap up this year's Teachers Fund Drive, we are ever so grateful for the level of participation from all of our WRMS parents!  And for the newly established 10-For-10 Fund, which allowed for 10% of all the donations to be used THIS year to hire full time subs at all campuses.  This will help provide continuous and uninterrupted education for our kids. 

 

We are pleased to announce that the 7th GRADE was the GRADE WINNER of the EEF Race For Participation with 43% of all parents donating.  WooHoo!  And kudos for the 8th Grade at 40% and 6th Grade at 36% for their strong support as well.  We really are stronger together!   We will award the 7th Grade with a very unique trophy to be displayed as a show of our appreciation!

You will manage a Zoom breakout room ensuring 

a seamless transition between sessions. You will

attendance as they get in and leave the room.
