Happy Thursday, WRMS Families!!!

It's been another great week to be a Wildcat!  My greatest moments of joy this week were during two different meetings with our faculty.  Monday was our department head meeting, and yesterday was a good 'ole faculty meeting.  Yes, meetings can bring joy!  I learned in both meetings that even though everyone is working harder than ever and is pretty darn tired, a sense of humor is still there!!!  We thought together, shared challenges, shared learnings, shared celebrations, answered questions and laughed together.  I'm so thankful!

I also have to share a few words from some of our EEF teachers this year.  Reading through their reflections also brought joy and made me appreciate them even more.  I promise pausing to read is worth it!  Here are a few of their thoughts on their favorite thing about teaching:

Interacting with the kids.  I love that I can help guide young Americans through our world, and it keeps me feeling younger and more energized than I should be! - Mr. Vickers

Ok is it too cheesy to say that the best part about teaching is the kids, not just the moments when you see that they get the concept or make their very first ever basket or goal.  It is about the stories they share in relation to the curriculum or not in the relation to the curriculum.  It is the conversations in the hall, the lunch room, on the benches outside waiting for their parents to pick them up.  It is about getting to know and appreciate these little humans. - Ms. Cummings

My favorite part about teaching is working with these sweet, hard-working, dedicated students. I thrive on their "ah-ha" moments throughout the day. - Ms. Behnke

It's incredible that I have the opportunity to meet 120+ humans every year that are all different. The jokes. The math raps. I get to be a performer every day without getting booed off the stage. Sure, I've seen heads shake at the jokes and maybe even a cringe, but they come back to my comedy special every single day. - Mr. Geering

Now for a couple of information items:

The other 90% of donations will still go toward funding teachers and staff in the 2021-2022 school year.  DONATE TODAY to help make sure we have the awesome teachers and staff who bring our kids incredible learning experiences and a safe, welcoming environment each and every day. 100% of your donation funds teachers and staff!

  • Exciting Meetings for our kids coming up!!!

That is all for this week!  I'm sorry this is so long!  I hope you all have an amazing long weekend filled with rest, relaxation and laughter.

Enjoy!

¡Disfrutar!

Dianne Carter
