March 12, 2020 MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL DIANNE CARTER
Happy Thursday, WRMS Families!
It has been one more great week to be a Wildcat! First, a huge shout out to our Wildcats that competed (and coached teams) in the various UIL Competitions. When I looked through all the individual results, I saw that WRMS was very well represented. Also, I'm a little tardy with this recognition, but we have an eighth grader who qualified for the State Contest of the National Geographic Geography Bee, and...get this…another one of our eighth graders is the first Wildcat to qualify for nationals in the History and Science Bee. He won the Regional History Bee and has been selected for the Nationals and the International History Bee. In addition he was 2nd in the Academic Bee and Third in the Science Bee. For both of these he is also going to Nationals. Incredible! Our track teams also represented WRMS well in the district track meet this week, and our orchestras rocked it at the UIL Competition. I'm pretty sure we all realize that we have some brilliant and talented kids around here. On top of that, we also have a lot of kids who are willing to work hard to be the best they can be led by dedicated coaches and directors. That makes a pretty amazing combo. I am thankful…
Enjoy!
