December 5, 2019 MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL DIANNE CARTER
Happy Thursday, Wildcat Families!
I hope you have all had a great week! First, I think it would be wrong for me to not mention my message this morning. Let me reiterate - all is well. I am so thankful for a community of people - kids and adults included - that are willing to share the important stuff so that we have the opportunity to take good care of our kids. Second, two moments of joy stand out for me today. At the beginning of WCT today, I had an awesome (and quick) conversation with some of our kids who are serving as grade level leaders for our Season of Giving. It was absolutely beautiful to see them (and hear them) talk through efficiently checking on and motivating the WCTs they were responsible for. They are invested in helping make something pretty darn cool that helps 50 families worth of people to be successful. The other moment was a conversation I had with one of our Wildcats where buying furniture came up. Something I said resulted in him making the comment, "That's right. There is the bond money to consider." I LOVE that he was so informed! I felt like I was talking to a well informed adult as our conversation continued. Incredible... And...yes, I told him that I LOVED that he knew so much!
Enjoy!

The Board also heard its first presentation on Golden Pennies, which, as a result of new legislation, could bring additional non-recapturable revenue to the district.
