September 12, 2019 MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL DIANNE CARTER
Happy Thursday, WRMS Families!!!
It has been a great week to be a Wildcat! First, THANK YOU to those of you who helped make last Friday's dance/game night a super fun time for all of those who attended! We definitely couldn't do it without you, and I LOVED the smiling faces, laughter, awesome pictures and some really sweaty bodies from playing and dancing. For this week's joy, I have to share a story from our cafeteria manager. She shared with me that she overheard an awesome conversation during 6th grade lunch one day. It went something like this… "How's it going?" The answer was, "Rough." "Oh! What's going on?" "Life...Life is hard sometimes." And...it continued on a bit. I'm not sure why it is so precious to listen to 6th graders have conversations that sound like adults, but it is. It sometimes helps me remember that in their eyes, their world that seems so small to us is everything to them. Isn't it cool that we get to help them gradually navigate (hopefully it can be gradual) life as their world grows a little bit more every day?
Now for a couple of information items:
I believe that is all for this week! I hope you all get to have some rest and relaxation time this weekend.
Enjoy!
