MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL DIANNE CARTER

Hello, Wildcat Families!

I can't believe it is already Thursday again.  Time is really starting to fly. I don't know about you, but this morning when I stepped out to walk my dogs, I was SO excited to be a little chilly!  One of my favorite things about this week has been reading all the campaign posters for student council. They are so clever and well done! Just another sign of our amazing kids…

Our Booster Club parents are finishing up the No Hassle Fundraising period tomorrow.  Thanks so much to those of you who have already given to our Booster Club. Please remember that no gift is too small.  Every dollar counts and helps us do incredible things for our kids. We have also had fun in the office wearing matching shirts this week that were purchased during the Clearance Sale at the school store.  Before too long, it will be up and running again with new merchandise. Thank you to our parents making that happen!

I hope you all enjoyed some quality time with your child/children on Tuesday.  As you know, we are about to head into October, which is often one of the most challenging phases of the school year when we need extra little things to help us stay energized.  So… We spent just a little bit of time as a staff remembering our "Why". We watched the video at THIS LINK so that we could all get goosebumps together.  Then I asked our teachers to answer the question - What is your why?  Why do you do what you do? Here are a few of the answers:

"My WHY is for students to UNDERSTAND the WHY for MATH problems... I LOVE building our future. Students are my WHY, watching those LIGHT BULBS go off is spectacular."

"I get paid to joke with kids and talk about history. It is pretty enjoyable."

"I enjoy growth, and I come every day hoping today I'll BE better and DO better."

"Because working with the kids gives me joy and a chance to learn something new on a daily basis."

All of the responses made me smile, but I just had to share a few.  I hope you also enjoyed them. Just another sign that we have pretty amazing teachers…

I hope you all have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend!

Enjoy!

Dianne Carter
