Dear Parents,

On Friday, September 14, 2012, there will be a representative from Dell Children’s Medical Center, Ms.Cally Martin, ATC/L, here at WRMS to give a talk to parents about concussions in children. With so many of our students involved in a variety of different sports this is an important topic for parents to learn more about.

Ms.Martin is a Certified Athletic Trainer who works in the Sports Medicine Specialty Clinic and Concussion Center at Dell Children’s Medical Center and has recently worked with the coaches and training staff of the Westlake Athletics department to educate them about concussions and the treatment plan after a child suffers a concussion.

This will be an excellent opportunity for parents to gain more information about this subject so please join us from 11:30 to 12:30 in the WRMS library for an informative hour with Ms.Martin.
