MESSAGE FROM INTERIM PRINCIPAL ROBIN LOWE

Parents,

I hope you enjoyed our Back to School nights this week - we certainly enjoyed getting to see you!

There are a couple of things I forgot to mention during our evenings together that I want to make sure I chat with you about:

1. Smart Tags - these are the new tags that track the students on the buses AND should be used to access lunch accounts. Please remind your child to bring their smart tag each day to school. Right now, we need to help them develop the habit of bringing it, since it is new for our students. It takes 21 days to create or break a habit, so if you could assist with this for the next three weeks we would appreciate it. (I know, I know - with middle schoolers 21 days can seem like an eternity!)

2. School Drop Off Times - students are unsupervised in the mornings until 7:45am (unless they have a scheduled activity with a teacher.) Students dropped off early need to come into the foyer and remain there until 7:45 at which time they can go to the cafeteria until 8:25. We appreciate your help with this because we certainly want to ensure everyone's safety!

Thanks so much for being so supportive of us - we truly do have the best middle staff I have every encountered!

Approval will lower District's total tax rate by 1.25 cents and increase amount of local tax revenue that stays in the community

Eanes ISD will offer two (2) optional protection packages for secondary student's school-issued iPads.

September 6 @ 6:00PM. Find out more about the benefits of DI and this year's challenges. Learn about how teams are formed on your campus, student workshops, and team manager training.

WILDCAT CLUB NEWS

It was great to see you all at our Back to School nights. We hope you and your families are settling into the school routine.

A few calendar reminders for you:

Picture Day is Friday, September 8th. Stay tuned for more details.
The First Dance (all grades) is Friday, September 15th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $10 and will be sold during lunch that day and at the door. Concessions will be available for purchase that evening. $3 of every ticket sale will be donated to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts!
And (drum roll, please!!)... the Wildcat Club School Store is open for business in the cafeteria! Please stop by to buy spirit wear and other fun stuff!

CAMPUS FEE REMINDER

The $25 WRMS Campus Fee helps fund school expenses including printer costs, copy paper, classroom teaching supplies, tissues, and transportation costs for field trips. Without this, our campus budget isn't adequate to cover these costs. You can easily pay on the Wildcat Club web site OR send in cash/check (payable to The Wildcat Club). Join us for our first WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL Wildcat Club Meeting! Carl Hooker, the Director of Innovative and Digital Learning for Eanes ISD, will be our special guest to talk about the technology that our children are using and what we should be doing about it. This is sure to be VERY informative and insightful and is also a great way to meet other parents and to get invovled!
