Points of Pride:

• West Ridge was rated as an Exemplary school by the Texas Education Agency in 2009 and 2010 ratings.
• Two Destination Imagination teams qualified for the 2009 Global Finals and one took top honors.
• West Ridge had 42 singers audition for the middle school all-region choir and 38 made it. WRMS students earned top places in every voice part and four students made first Chair.
• In 2008, West Ridge was named to the Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll for the third consecutive year.
• West Ridge  placed first at the 2011 UIL Middle School Academic Meet for the 6th time in 7 years. 
• Of the 42 students tested in the annual Duke Talent Identification Program,  27 West Ridge students received state recognition and three earned Grand recognition.
